Simon Bain
Founder & CTO
Simon is the Chief Architect of Simplexo's software, a highly respected figure in the structured mark-up industry and a frequent spokesman on XML applications. He developed his software development expertise and special interest in XML whilst with SoftQuad. There he was involved with the launch of XML, working closely with its creators and he helped manage a number of SGML and XML integration projects for various publishing companies throughout Europe. Subsequently, whilst developing Simplexo's core technology, he has provided technical consultancy services, XML training and managed software projects for a number of well-known companies and local authorities, including IBM and Bedford County Council. Simon was formerly a member of the Board of the UK Sun User Group prior to that company's acquisition by Oracle Corporation.
Ian Blyton
Software Development Manager
Ian specialises in technology development, integration and technical implementation projects. He has a background in application development, integration and network management and was previously head of IT at Ashfield District Council.
Adrian McCague
User Interface Development Manager
Adrian specialises in web and user interface development and is responsible for the integration and experience of front end user interfaces across all Simplexo's applications.
Grahame T. Sewell
Chairman
Grahame brings to Simplexo Ltd over 30 years of international entrepreneurial experience. As CEO of GTS Ventures Ltd, he has held a variety of positions in numerous successful early stage companies over the past ten years, including Synigence plc, 1st Dental Laboratories plc, BlueSpace Software, Vision Critical Ltd, and Get Me In! Ltd. In his earlier career, Grahame served as International CFO for Lotus Development, CFO International for Reebok and was a Main Board Director of Alliance UniChem plc.
John Clarke
CEO
John is a technology specialist with strong business development experience. His career spans a number of senior roles in both large and growth-orientated companies. In the last twelve years he has worked with a number of successful early stage technology companies in the UK and US and has been an adviser to and investor in a number of other businesses in the technology sector. Prior to this he was VP of EMC Corporation, Managing Director of Nokia and a President of Memorex Telex Corp.
Peter Delf
Founder & Finance Director
Peter is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience of businesses in the UK, Europe and internationally. Formerly at BDO Stoy Hayward, he was Group Finance Director of Harrison Industries PLC, a listed company, where he was involved in a restructuring and the acquisition and disposal of a number of companies. Subsequently, Peter has worked with early stage and rapidly growing companies, concentrating on corporate finance, strategy, business and financial management.
